Carmine November box

So this month Carmine box came really unexpected, because they didn’t send me email saying it is dispatched as Glossybox and last month Carmine box. So I was thinking I won’t get it, but then I got one morning. But it was nice surprise. And again this month we had three full size products and two descent samples.

I had this box already for two weeks so I have tried almost all products, you will see why. Just keep reading.

The card is the same only the products are different, but i like this card design better that GlossyBox card, because it is grey and pale pink.
Products:
LULU’S TIME BOMB Flashback Night crème card says – It’s true – you can go back in time. At least, your skin can. This extremely powerful anti-ageing time machine does all the work to prevent ageing while you get a good night’s rest. Snooze on!!!

My opinion – I tried. I like it, but for me it is hard to say that it is good anti-ageing crème or it is good night crème, only because I haven’t tried any other night crèmes. But this one leaves your skin feeling so light and clean. I have been using since I received the box and soon it will be finished. But probably I won’t repurchase it in full size only because for 45ml you will pay £30.75. I wouldn’t be able to spend so much on night crème. The only down side for me for this crème was the perfume. It smells like lavender, which I really don’t like, but I gave a go.

NEW CID i - pout lipstick in the shade Nudity 1304 card says – No, it’s not an Apple product – but a revolutionary incredibly wearable lipstick, equipped with built-in mirror and light for perfect application in absolutely any circumstance.

My opinion – I love the colour, because it is the perfect nude lipstick shade for me, but a little bit darker. Usually if I buy in the shop some nude lipsticks they are too light and too pale, but this is amazing colour. Even this lipstick is amazing, creamy and stays on your lips for good time. It costs £15, so it is the same price range as M.A.C. So it isn’t so bad.
DAINTY DOLL Eyeliner pencil in the shade 004 card says – From the makeup line of fashion icon and solo artist Nicola Roberts, this eyeliner pencil contains skin-loving vitamins and is just oozing with colour. Perfect for creating a variety of looks – from soft definition to bold, Smokey eyes.

My opinion – It is nice colour, but so hard to apply, but when you warm it up, it glides so smooth, but doesn’t stay for long time. But the colour is nice.

NEOM ORGANICS Real Luxury Body Lotion card says – The bath and body equivalent to fine chocolates and champagne, this organic product from an award winning brand is packed with the fragrances of lavender, jasmine, basil and more! Just what your body needs to feel cleansed and refreshed – to perfection.

My opinion – I hated it, because as you know I can’t stand the smell of lavender and jasmine. These two scents are a big no. But the body lotion was okay. But just my preference for other it would be different.

COSMETICS A LA CARTE Brow Ink in the shade sable card says – Not to be confused with felt-tip pen, this soft, semi-permanent ink will add the perfect definition to your brows by allowing you to draw-in individual hairs. The best part is that it also as fabulous eyeliner.

My opinion – I am too scared to fill my eye brows with it, only because I am not good at that and my eye brows doesn’t need filling, only when I do something wrong. But as eyeliner this product would be amazing, because it semi-permanent, it really stays for two days and even more if you don’t wash it off.

So overall I loved this month box, it delivered what I expected. So it made much harder to decide. And in this month box I had 4 discount codes again. The only down side that they never write how much cost the full size sample. I always need to go and search on websites. So I hope Carmine team will read and will do something about it. Because I would like to know, because I would like to repurchase that lipstick and I had to find out how much it cost through their website.

So I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

November GlossyBox

I am late to put up the Glossybox review, but still decided that I will do it. I got my glossybox two weeks ago, but I have tried all products, so my review is honest. Keep reading it! :)

If you followed last month blog posts about GlossyBox and Carmine, then you know that I have to decide which box I will subscribe. And this month I haven’t decided which I will choose, because the both boxes are good. So I don’t know what to do.

As maybe you have heard Glossybox team now start to make Glossybox for men. This box will come quarterly with 7 samples. My man wouldn’t like that kind of box for him, because he likes simple’s things. He doesn’t use all skincare products on daily basis, when he feels he needs them then he uses face wash and moisturiser. And after every shaving he uses after shave, that is all. But if you man is into skincare and really looks after himself, then maybe he needs that kind of box with samples. And you have to keep in mind that we are different nationality and we are raised differently as well. Because Latvian men doesn’t care about fashion and beauty products at all.

As you can see in this picture since last month the card is still huge. With all the same QR codes and full size price listed, as always small description about products what you get in the box.
This month Glossybox theme was The Christmas Gift Guide Part 1. It is good marketing trick, I think, because I would like to see what they have in mind for Part 2.

Products:
ARBONNE Ultra Hydrating Hand Crème card says – Soothing crème moisturises hands, leaving a healthy appearance and skin feeling smooth and refreshed.
My opinion – it is always to have nice smelling and travel size hand crème in you handbag. It isn’t anything special for me, but I am using it anyway, but wouldn’t buy full size products. Its smells really fresh and fruity.

DEAD SEA SPA MAGIK Delicate Boosting Mask card says – A creamy mask containing pure Dead Sea Mud in a gentle formulation, showing immediate and remarkable results.
My opinion - I tried it only once.  Before I got it I was watching other person review on this mask, loads of people said the same thing – after using you have to wash your face, because after using this mask it blocks your pores with black things. And now in winter and autumn season I have loads of breakouts and my skin is really bad. So I was scared to use it, but when I decided to use it, they were right it was dirty feeling mask. I have tried loads of face mask and I didn’t enjoy this one at all. After that I had dry patches on my skin, because my face skin is really sensitive. My moisturiser saved everything. And I didn’t like that two month in a row I have Dead Sea Spa Magik products.

ILLAMASQUA Freak Eau Parfum card says – Celebrate the night with Freak, the dangerously exotic first fragrance from cult British beauty brand, Illamasqua.
My opinion – I love the perfume it is musky, but in soft way, if you understand me. I really enjoyed this month perfume. I liked that they gave discount 20% off the full range from Illamasqua. It isn’t so expensive perfume, like everyone is saying for 75ml it is £59.00. Usually the all popular perfume brands have the same price range.

NAIL ROCK Designer Nail wraps card says – The new NAIL ROCK designer nail wrap range is designed to last up to 7 days on nails and 8 weeks on the toes. They won’t chip or stain the nail, require no drying time and deliver on the trend style in just 15 minutes.
My opinion - you can see in this blog post, which I made couples weeks ago. This design I like as well, so maybe you we will see them some day.

PHILIP KINGSLEY Elasticizer card says – intensive, super- moisturising pre shampoo treatment for all hair types. Adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine.
My opinion - I am in love with this product, but unfortunately it too expensive product for me. My boyfriend wouldn’t let me buy so expensive product.  When I opened the box I already what it is, because so many people have raved about it and finally I got opportunity to try it out. Now I am saving for really special occasions. :)

So overall I am really pleased with this month products. This month we have four different discounts. So that is always a plus. Thumbs up for this month glossybox.

So I hope you enjoyed this blog post and it was a little bit helpful.

Lush Haul

These past two weeks every weekend I have been travelling to big shopping centres. It doesn’t matter to which one but in this post I wanted to share what I got while I where there.  And review, because I have them used for two weeks already. So I think I can say what I think as well.

First things first. So finally I got chance to buy some products from lush. I love bath especially in winter. Even my boyfriend tried some. Because there isn’t really special man bath bombs, but some scents’ was quite manly. The only thing I don’t like about Lush stores, when you go in you think that all smell the same, you can’t even tell the difference. But all things what I bought, when I came home really enjoyed it. So it wasn’t such problem.

My favourite lush product is The Melting snowman; the only downside is that it is Christmas product. I liked how good it smells and feels on your skin.  Only after using this bath product definitely you have to wash yourself with shower gel.
Website says: £1.95/Each
Our little snowman is about to shuffle off this mortal coil – but not before you get one last bath from him as he disappears for another year.
It is a short but glorious life that our Melting Snowman lives. He may not have long to go, but boy is he going to make a grand exit.
Exquisitely fragranced with a blend of oils containing vanilla absolute and sweet wild orange, giving him a deep marzipan fragrance with notes of rich fruit, reminiscent of Christmas cake and figgy puddings. Which means he smells exactly the same as our bestselling Snowcake soap?
But if it isn’t enough to smell of our most popular Christmas fragrance, he’s also got a body made of water-softening bicarb of soda, cocoa butter and Shea butter. This means that when the heat gets to him and he finally melts away, he fizzes those wonderful butters through your bathwater, leaving you soft and moisturised. What a way to go!
His legacy is your great skin – which means he lives on in the memory of all who knew him.

I bought:
  • Comforter: £3.99/200g
Website says: This isn’t called the Comforter for nothing. We threw everything we had at this one, to make it warming, comforting and reassuring. We wanted a bath that gave the same sense of safety and calm that your favourite teddy, your comfort blanket or a snugly scarf gives.
At times when you feel you need to protect yourself from the world - immerse yourself in this pink bath and allow the familiar oils to envelop you in a comforting berry scented embrace.
We wanted this bar to give maximum comfort, so we’ve made it twice as big as the other bubble bars, to give you lots of nurturing baths.
By using a solid bubble bath, you are eliminating the need for packaging on your product. Liquid products need preservatives, but solid products like this don't.  Better for you and better for the environment; what a comforting thought!
  • Tisty tosty: £2.99/110g
Website says: This ballistic is a love spell. Fill the bath, get in, and hold the ballistic in your hands whilst contemplating your chosen one. Lower into the water to unleash its powerful magic. Watch the seven rosebuds emerge from the swirling potion and count your way to a budding romance.
We find it hard to put into words how beautiful this ballistic is. We’ve vowed never to stop making it – try one and you’ll see why.
Jigglypaul says use this with an Amandopondo Bubble Bar to create a TistyPondo cocktail bath – beautiful, elegant and bursting with rose.
The original version of this Tisty Tosty love spell says that you should stir the water with a hazel wand.
We invented this for The Guardian newspaper, when they wanted a small gift to send to people to alert them to the fact that a Valentine’s message had been placed in the personal ads for them.  So we packed it full of beautiful, romantic ingredients.

  • Cinders Bath bomb: £1.95/Each
Website says: A ballistic to evoke sitting by a crackling open fire, drinking a glass of warm punch.
A real Christmas time ballistic that fights the chill and brings peace and comfort. Lie back, letting the water support your body, and listen to the fire as the smell of warm fruit punch fills the room.
Almond essential oil, sweet orange oil and cinnamon leaf oil give a smooth fruity scent with a touch of spice. It lifts the mind and lingers on the skin
We’ve also put popping candy in this mix, which gently crackles in the water, giving you a bath with sound effects. If you really want to hear them go, then dip your head underwater for the full cacophony.
Have a Cinder if you want to hide away from the big bad world and feel the warming comforts of home.  It is great too if you just want to blow away the cobwebs in your mind, or the dust and soot from your body.
  • Dorothy Bubble bar: £2.95
Website says: A blue skies thinking bath that takes you out of the monochrome and into a colourful fantasy, where the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
This bath smells so great you might want to stay in there quite some time, so take a good book, a glass of wine and something to munchkin.
If you’re a friend of Dorothy and love this smell, then using our Figs and Leaves soap will leave you smelling the same from head to Toto. Click your heels and get yourself over to our soap page to buy yourself a chunk.
Dorothy bubble bar was invented by Michelle, but the fragrance she chose for it was one that Mark invented to sum up his memories of his Auntie Joy. She was a kindly aunt who used to bring him his favourite comics when he was a boy. Long after she had gone her perfume would linger on the pages of the comics. Mark wanted to capture that smell to take him back to those moments of childhood.
  • Amandopondo: £2.50/100g
Website says: A gentle bath for times when the world owes you a favour. Let the rose wrap you in a comfort blanket and the lemon lift your mind and spirits.
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best – a bath of uncomplicated bliss.
This bubble bar was inspired by the idea of forgiveness - for those times when life is unfair or people untrue. We all know a bouquet of roses is a good place to start putting things right – so we wanted to sum that up in a bath-time experience.
At Lush we love trading with family businesses. We buy the rose absolute that we put into this bubble bar from a family in Turkey who have been growing roses and distilling their oil for over three generations. We’ve learned so much from their passion and expertise in the years we’ve known them.
  • Magic Wand Bubble Bar: £4.95/100g
Website says: A reusable bubble bar star that gives mounds of sweet-smelling foam.
This is a solid version of our best selling Snow Fairy shower gel for those who prefer to bath.
The magic of this version is that you can wave your wand under the water until you have the amount of bubbles you want – then you just stash it somewhere safe to dry off, ready for when you next bath.
We’ve included pink ribbon and a bell, because if you are going to wave your wand, then you need some added drama and special effects!
You should get several baths from this, depending on how much bubbly magic you want in your bath.  Each one will leave you smelling of candy floss and pear drops. Baths don’t get yummier or more girly than this.

Then happen that I got two things for free. They had box where I could pick them. I got bubble bar, which one was okay, not a big fan, but for free I enjoyed it. :) The second one is soap which smells so nice, that I am saving for special days. :)
I really enjoyed this shop. The womans were so nice showing and helping to choose. I really had nice first journey to Lush.

So I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

M.A.C

Hi!!!

I and my boyfriend went to biggest shopping centre close to our city, because we wanted to buy Pod touch 4 in Hmv shop (more info in this blog post). When I always see the Mac counter in House of Fraser I am saying to my boyfriend let's go and just look around. Then I am saying different thing what I have heard about MAC. He don't care, but he just listen what I am saying and moaning. And this time we went to MAC counter he said okay choose two items and I will buy you. I was so amazed and surprised. OMG isn't he the best boyfriend in the world?
First two minutes I was so amazed and I didn't know what to choose and I was so shocked that my head was running through all stuff. I was getting more confused in each minute. Then I finally decide what I wanted. As you can see in the picture I bought dazzleglass and from holiday collection - glitter and Ice paint pot. In the next picture you will see which colours I choose.
Mac Paint pot in colour Let's Skate
Mac DazzleGlass in colour Smile

The biggest decision was when I couldn't decide which paint pot to choose Let's Skate or Morning Frost. But then I decided I will buy this one, because it is amazing base colour. When i tried on my hands i was amazed how long the wearing times is and if I put some brown eyeshadow on top of this paint pot - it makes my eyeshadow look so shimmery and different in each lightening.

In this picture you can see swatches :

Now in my wishlist I have three items from MAC holiday collections:

Mac Dazzlesphere! Coral Ornament £25.50

Mac Glitter & Ice Nail Laquer in colour Unconditionally Fabolous £10.00

So I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

My pride

Today i want to show you my bargain. I always have been sneaker girl. I can wear heels, but I don't feel so good, but when I have sneakers I own the world. If you know what I mean. :) My favourite sneaker brands are Etnies and DC, used to be Nike as well (but recently they don't add any new or interesting sneakers). In my country we don't have so big choice as in England, but in England there is different problem. I am a size 4, so if I want to buy sneakers they look like I am some kind of child. And in my town the only place which sells sneakers are sport direct and TKMaxx. So today I bought two pairs of DC shoes not expensive. I know places where are original DC and Etnies shops, but they are so expensive. So i am so happy that I got both pairs together only for £50, but in original shop one pair would cost me that money. So now in my collection I have three DC sneakers.
Check out my pride:

So I hoped you enjoyed my blog post. I just wanted to share with you, that I am not scared to say I love more sneakers than heels. They are more practical and comfortable. But I can still look good and fashionable. Sorry but i am in really good mood.

What's on my mind?

Soon is Christmas and my boyfriend asking what I would liked get. But I don't really know. One thing I have been always thinking and it is kindle. I used to read books loads and loads, but as I grow older I don't have so much time to go to library and pick up the book. When finally I have time I always bringing back books, very late because i don't know what I will do after one or two weeks. Just so lazy. That's bad but that's me. :)
And I have heard loads of things about kindle.
But I am not 100% sure that I need it. Because recently I used hmv shop offer - if you bring your old Ipod touch you can get ipod touch 4 generation with discount. I was thinking for two weeks, if I want to change it. Then finally decided that I will change it. I had 2 generation ipod touch 16gb and now I have 4 generation 32 GB. I got £60 discount. I think it is really good offer, because exchange shop they wanted to give me £54 (they wanted to take my headphones and charger, but hmv shop even didn't needed. So that's mean I have old headphones and charger, which I still can use it). So you need to help me to decide. Have do you think do I need kindle if I have ipod touch 4?
